OBJECTIVES
The Certified Agile Leader® 1 (CAL 1™) course focuses on developing leadership skills for navigating today’s complex work environments. Learning objectives are categorised into four key areas:
- The Case for Agile Leadership: Understand the benefits and mindset shifts required for effective agile leadership. Explore how agile leadership contrasts with traditional approaches and addresses modern challenges.
- Agile Leadership in Action: Learn and apply leadership frameworks to enhance personal effectiveness and develop critical leadership skills to grow team competencies.
- Leading Agile Teams: Discover tools and techniques to build and sustain high-performing teams, address challenges, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Leading Agile Organisations: Examine the interplay of culture, structure, and leadership in driving organisational agility and guiding change effectively.
This practical, action-oriented course equips leaders with frameworks and skills to foster agility across teams and organisations.
Key Topics
The CAL 1 course begins by exploring the critical shift in leadership required for agile environments; moving away from traditional command-and-control styles towards fostering self-management, autonomy, and trust.
Day One: The focus is on self-reflection. You'll delve into your role as an Agile leader, examining your values, beliefs, and how you "show up" in your leadership style. You'll also develop key skills and behaviours to empower and support your agile teams effectively.
Day Two: Attention shifts to building and sustaining high-performing teams. You'll explore the cultural foundations that align with Agile, as well as the organisational processes, policies, and governance models that may need adaptation to thrive in an Agile context.
The course concludes with a deep dive into leading change. You'll learn about various change models and engage in discussions on tackling the challenges of Agile transformations.
This course offers a comprehensive framework to elevate your leadership in Agile settings and drive impactful, sustainable change.

Pre-course:
Participants are requested to complete pre-course work prior to the course. Failure to complete pre-course work may mean that you are not ready to fully participate in the course and may limit your ability to gain the outcomes you are hoping to achieve.
Pre-course work will be sent out 2 weeks prior to course commencement and is expected to take approximately one hour to complete.
There is no exam for this course.
To receive your certification badge, you must attend and actively participate in the full two-day course.

Is this a certified course?
No. This is not an accredited certification but participants will receive a digital badge.
Our website offers three payment options for training courses. When you select "BOOK NOW" you will be taken to the checkout. Step two: "Billing Details" is where you can select from the three payment options:
- Credit Card Payments: PM-Partners uses Stripe payment gateway to process Visa, Mastercard, Amex, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry so you can be confident that your card details are protected for online purchases.
- Bank Transfer: We cannot guarantee your registration(s) until your payment is cleared (bank transfers take 3 days to process). Instructions for payment by bank transfer will be provided at the end of the order process.
- Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you after you complete the booking. Payment is required 14 days before the course start date. If you're buying within 14 days, you need to arrange payment ASAP with a minimum of 72 hours before course start date.
