COURSE OBJECTIVES

This course aims to prepare aspiring project practitioners for the task of passing the CAPM® certification exam.

CAPM® certification validates student knowledge of project management best practices:

  • The fundamentals of project management and the role of a project manager
  • Predictive and agile project management practices
  • Business analytics, procurement, communication, stakeholder, risk and resource management
  • Project management environment and project iteration management
  • Supporting the delivery of any project on schedule, on cost and budget, within scope, and on quality

  • A copy of the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Exam Official Cert Guide (published by Pearson IT Certification) which contains access to over 300 practice exam questions.
  • 1 year’s access to digital materials through the PMI Choice web portal, which includes:
    • Digital copy of the Student Manual.
    • Spotlight Videos that enhance and extend the classroom learning experience.
    • Course content mapped to the Exam Content Outline (ECO)

CAPM® certification

The CAPM® certification demonstrates to employers, clients, and colleagues that you possess the foundational knowledge and skills to work on project teams using various approaches, including predictive project management, agile principles, and business analysis.

To earn your CAPM® certification you need to meet the experience and education requirements and pass the CAPM® examination.

This course provides you with the required education hours you need to be eligible to apply for the CAPM® certification and counts towards the education hours required for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam .

CAPM® examination

The exam is a 3hr computer-based 150 question exam. Questions are a combination of multi-choice, multi answer, matching and fill-in-the-blank.

Participants will be able to assess their ability to successfully pass the exam, through regular testing of knowledge throughout the program.

The exam is provided by PMI. Exam fees are paid directly to PMI when you apply for the PMP® certification and so are not included in the cost of the course.

DEVELOPMENT UNITS

Participants holding any of the Project Management accreditations (CPPP/ CPPM/CPPD) are eligible to earn CPDs as follows: 20 CPDs.

To be able to apply to sit the CAPM exam, you will need:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam

WHERE IS THE TRAINING VENUE LOCATED?

Sydney courses are held at 45 Clarence Street, Sydney.
Melbourne courses are held at 34 Queen Street, Melbourne.
Brisbane courses are held at 215 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.

IS THIS A CERTIFIED COURSE?

No. This course is a preparation course only. At the conclusion of this course, participants will register through the Project Management Institute (PMI) to undertake the relevant examination at an additional cost.

However, you do receive a Completion Certificate from PM-Partners group stating that you have undertaken 21 contact hours of education. This will provide the prerequisite project management education needed to sit the PMI-ACP certification.

IS THE EXAM FEE INCLUDED?

No. The exam fee is not included in the course cost.

Our website offers three payment options for training courses. When you select "BOOK NOW" you will be taken to the checkout. Step two: "Billing Details" is where you can select from the three payment options:

  • Credit Card Payments: PM-Partners uses Stripe payment gateway to process Visa, Mastercard, Amex, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry so you can be confident that your card details are protected for online purchases.
  • Bank Transfer: We cannot guarantee your registration(s) until your payment is cleared (bank transfers take 3 days to process). Instructions for payment by bank transfer will be provided at the end of the order process.
  • Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you after you complete the booking. Payment is required 14 days before the course start date. If you're buying within 14 days, you need to arrange payment ASAP with a minimum of 72 hours before course start date.
